Hospital Surgery

The Department of Hospital Surgery of Chechen State University was organized in September 2006 by the decision of the Academic Council of CSU as a result of the division of the “united” departments. The department studied the only discipline – “Surgical diseases.” In January 2015, the department received the name “Surgical Diseases”. From 2006 to September 2014, the department was headed by MD Dadayev Adlan Yarakhanovich. Since January 2015, the department is headed by MD, Professor Ferzauli Ali Nakhchoevich. In 2017, the department acquired the former name – “hospital surgery”. Disciplines of the department: hospital surgery, pediatric surgery; oncology, radiation therapy; anesthesiology, resuscitation, intensive care.

The clinical bases of the department are: Republican Clinical Hospital of War Veterans, Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital, Republican Oncology Center, Republican Clinical Emergency Hospital. At this stage, the department is equipped with almost everything it needs. It has training rooms at all clinical bases, a conference room, a room for educational support staff and an office for the head of the department. All rooms are after redecoration and provided with necessary furniture. The department is equipped with computer and multimedia equipment. The department is preparing clinical residents in three areas: surgery, oncology, pediatric surgery. Currently, 7 clinical residents are trained at the department: 5 – in the direction of training “oncology”, 2 – “surgery”.

The main results of the department during this period: – the department has released 1 monograph, 3 teaching aids and more than 50 scientific articles; There are two scientific student circles. At the department for three years in a row held internal Olympiad in surgery for the Deso Cup. Of particular note is the second team place of the team of students of the Medical Institute at the Second All-Russian Universiade on Surgery with international participation, which took place in September 2017 at the Russian University of Peoples Friendship (Moscow) and the third team place at the Olympiad in Pediatric Surgery in May 2018 at the Russian National Research Medical University named N.I. Pirogov in Moscow.
