Faculty of Law

Faculty of Law, founded in 1991, is one of the largest faculties of the Chechen State University. Currently, the faculty trained more than 2,500 full-time and part-time students.

The first dean and the founder of the Faculty of Law was Dr. Baudin Dadaevich Bakhmadov, associate professor, now honored lawyer of the Russian Federation.

Currently, the faculty is headed by Dr. Abu-Salikh Kagermanov Saydalievich.

Yarychev N.U. – vice-dean for educational and scientific work, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, member of the Teaching Union of education in social work among the universities in Russia, a federal expert in the field of quality of education.

Turkaeva L.V. – vice-dean for education and social work.

Teaching staff includes more than 110 people, including 11 doctors and 65 candidates of sciences, three Honored worker of Science of the Chechen Republic, 1 Honored Worker of Science of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, 3 Honored lawyers of the Chechen Republic and one Honoured Lawyer of the Russian Federation.

There are two main courses on the faculty, which prepare bachelor students:

021100.65 “Law”;

040100.65 “Social Work”.

Also, there is a master’s program “Criminal policy of modern Russia and the role of responsibility in its implementation” on the faculty, in the area of preparation 40.03.01 “Law”.

The educational process is carried out of 6 departments, 5 of which are graduations.

Department of Criminal Law and Process is headed by the candidate of legal sciences Ganaeva Esita Eminovna. The department has 24 members of staff; 3 of them are doctors of sciences and 12 candidates of sciences. There are two members of staff, assistant T. Daldaeva and senior lecturer S.A. Khodzhaliev, who plan to defend a master’s thesis, in 2015. The department has a Criminalistical Lab led by Z.D. Makazieva. The main direction of educational-methodical activity of the department is development of the most effective methods of studying of the disciplines of criminal-law cycle.

There are full-time and part-time graduate studies on the department, which have the following two courses:

12.00.08 – Criminal Law and Criminology; criminally-executive law

12.00.09 – Criminal trial, criminalistics; operatively-search activity.

Department of Civil Law and Procedure is headed by the candidate of legal sciences Nintsieva Tamila Magomedovna. The department has 29 members of staff, including 1 doctor and 8 candidates. In 2015, associate professor D.Kh. Saydumov and Professor K.Kh Ibragimov plan to defend doctoral dissertation, as well as senior lecturers Umarova M.A. and Umarova A.A. plan to defend a master’s theses. The main direction of educational-methodical activity of the department is development of the most effective methods of studying of the disciplines of civil-law cycle.

Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law is headed by Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Murtazaliev Vakha Yusupovich. The department has 9 teachers, including 6 PhDs.

Department of Theory and History of State and Law is headed by Dr. Mutsalov Shadid Shakhidovich, Honored Lawyer of the Chechen Republic. The department has one doctor and five candidates.

Department of Theory and History of Social Work is headed by Professor Yarychev Nasrudi Uvaysovich. The department has 13 members of staff, including 3 doctors and 4 candidates of sciences.

Department of Technology of Social work is headed by Dauev Salamu Akhmedovich. The department has 10 members of staff, 3 of them are candidates of science.

Since 2011 there is a Law Clinic at the Faculty which provides free legal aid to the population. In the clinic is organized internships of senior students under the guidance of supervisors. During 2013 there were examined 82 complaints of citizens by students of the Clinic, which provided qualified legal assistance.

In accordance with the curriculum, during the workshop(work experience) students are trained in the Interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Chechen Republic, the Office of the Judicial Department of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic, the Supreme Court of the Chechen Republic, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Development of the Chechen Republic, the Office of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic, Grozny Mayor’s Office, the Office of the Ombudsman in the Chechen Republic, the Registration Chamber of the Chechen Republic.

Law graduates are working in the law enforcement bodies of the Chechen Republic and other states of the Russian Federation, as well as in various sectors of the the national economy.
